Citizen participation

20 nonpartisan consultations throughout Quebec that are open to everyone

As we observed during the leadership race, the Leader of the Quebec Liberal Party, Dominique Anglade, places meeting with and consulting Quebecers throughout our regions at the very heart of her priorities.

She wants to hear from them, understand their concerns and the issues that are specific to each location, because it is obvious that the vastness of Quebec’s territory and the diversity of its population make applying wall-to-wall policies impossible.

Given this, her solution is to review how politics is done so that Quebecers can go back to being the focus of decisions, regardless of the region in which they reside. That is the exactly the goal of the Charter for Regions and the virtual consultations.

Concretely, what is the purpose of taking part in a consultation on the Charter for Regions?

Taking about the difficulties being faced in your region,

• Proposing solutions to make life better in your area,

• Being a part of returning power to local decision makers,

• Meeting virtually and building bonds with people in your area who care about developing their part of Quebec.
